MISSION
To increase awareness among the public, healthcare professionals, educators, and policymakers about the importance of improving access to occupational therapy services for children in urban, low-income communities. I aim to highlight the various barriers that hinder this access and promote awareness of potential solutions through DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) education. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our children and our communities.

ABOUT
Meet Aghogho E. Ajueyitsi, MS OTR/L, a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with the pediatric population. She kickstarted her career by earning a BS in Therapeutic Recreation from Temple University and later pursued an MS in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Temple University and is expected to complete it by August 2023.
PROFESSIONAL GOALS
As an Occupational Therapist, I have set ambitious goals for myself and am fully committed to achieving them. My primary objective is to write and publish children's books on Occupational Therapy, with the aim of making the subject accessible and engaging for young minds. Alongside this, I am also passionate about becoming a professional lecturer, presenting at colleges, universities, conferences, and community events. My ultimate goal is to raise awareness of the significance of Occupational Therapy services for underprivileged children in urban and low-income communities. As a consultant for toy companies, I plan to use my expertise to recommend therapeutic principles in the design of their products, promoting child development. Additionally, I am dedicated to contributing regularly to the OT Practice magazine, thereby adding to the field's existing knowledge. These objectives motivate me to constantly learn, grow and make a positive impact on the field of Occupational Therapy.
